Should AcceptMutex default to sysvmem?

jerenkrantz@apache.org changed:

           What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
             Status|NEW |RESOLVED
         Resolution| |INVALID
  • Additional Comments From jerenkrantz@apache.org 2002-04-15 01:00 ------- It is most likely because your OS does not support pthread cross-process mutexes. sysvsem are much preferred over fcntl()/flock() methods since they do not require file system access/overhead.

The comments in misc/perf-tuning seem to be valid, but sysvsem is a better alternative that flock/fcntl. Consider it the lesser of all the available evils.

Thanks for using Apache!
