  Please try the new Apache 2.0.36 and report back. We have changed the way   the socket is instantiated, perhaps this will affect ZoneAlarm.

  But I'm afraid, with our source code publicly available, and their code   problematic to debug, we all need to defer to their developers. I'm closing   this bug as irrelevant to the Apache developers.
