apache 1.3.27 problem with extensions
Summary: apache 1.3.27 problem with extensions
Product: Apache httpd-1.3
Version: 1.3.27
Platform: PC
URL:
http://www.dancrea.com/apacheproblem/screencap.gif
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: Other
Component: Other
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: gillis.danielsen@dancrea.com
Bug was noticed when building a development-testing enviroment on a Windows XP
desktop computer. The problem is as follows, when a file ha two extensions, as
example test.php.txt i will open when accessing the file test.php as follows
http://serverurl/test.php will open test.php.txt if a test.php does not exist,
instead of returning a 404, and the user is not notified of this in any way,
as the adress is stil lclearly stated as http://serverurl/test.php. When
a "genuine" test.php is put in place this file is opened and test.php.txt is
ignored. i cannot see that this would be linked to the php parserer and i
think its a bug that occurs with any extensions, though this is not tested.
the php parserer was working fine and is version 4.3.0. an illustration of the
problem can be found at http://www.dancrea.com/apacheproblem/screencap.gif. i
am very sorry for taking you time if this bug is in some way irrelevant or i
have misstakenly taken it for one.
