  Because you passed through the redirector, and the mirror wasn't mirroring   the .old/ contents. As much as it pains me, we have no big releases at   the moment that i've seen notice of, and it is a weekend.

  So I've renamed .old to old so that mirrors pick it up. That will eat a   chunky bit of bandwidth but is necessary since nobody is 'forced' to carry   hidden directories, such as .old, and we aren't providing the option of   grabbing the file directly.
