In a separate message to "another mailing list", under the title "Proposed Code Freeze for 1.3.20", William A. Rowe, Jr. wrote:

So it's urgent.
Is it possible to do it now?
After the patch has stabilized, is there a reason for new-httpd to insist on including only the old mod_proxy in 1.3.20, and only HTTP/1.0, with no support for HTTP/1.1?
