I think you meant "wholesale" selling. It should be the same. As I understand , the bridged LAN is converted to ATM (or already a form of ATM) that is switched directly to the ISP. Basically, he has an Ethernet network connector that goes all the way to your house. If you change ISPs, they switch the ATM channel to your new ISP...
