Re: Cisco 3620 & PPPoE

I tried in the past to get into the relevant Cisco documentation, but I found it was very difficult to find. Almost all Cisco PPPoE documentation is ATM and large-scale routers related, so I did not manage to make it work over simple Ethernet interfaces. Does anybody out there have some real world configurations?

We give out wireless access to customers, and PPPoE takes care of banwidth, IP numbers, users and passwords. We have a Redback concentrator, and it works like charm, but we have a single point of failure, so doing the same thing on cheap routers would be great.

Also, being able to encapsulate PPPoE sessions over some kind of IP tunnel would make my life easier. Could'nt find anything about that either, so help its appreciated.

Regards,
Pablo
