cookies on mac

i am a pc user
at the office i have an application on a sql server my database is SQL and to access it our programmer has a cookie to enter user name and password on my pc everything is fine
but on my mac i cannot get that cookie on the screen so i cannot access
anybody can help me
to configure the mac in order for it to accept that cookie regard
