RE: Friendly Technologies PPPoE Client
Dear Mr. Okeefe
- News groups are not ment to be a sales channel. We also saw the email of
Eric, but we preffered not to respond (not by ourselves or by a third party
like some vendors do), because we respect the non-written rules of
news-groups.
- Please try to be accurate when you are talking about competitors:
The driver Friendly is using was developed originally by Redback (what is
bad about that?), and since than Friendly released 2 new advanced versions
of its own (same as FinePoint did with Windriver's driver).
The version of PPPoE created by Friendly was tested and selected by IBM,
Tiscali, Brazil Telecom , Scannova (Swedish Telecom), Sagem, Bezeq (Israeli
Telecom), Starnet Megapop and many others.

Actually, Friendlys software was originally developed by Redback but they
never finished it (thus the Redback partnership).
WinPoET (http:///www.finepoint.com) which has a 100% "skin based GUI" means
it is fully customizable. It is also used by over 50% of the DSL providers
worldwide including Verizon, Earthlink, AOL, and Telefonica.
