I got this error after putting my /etc/apache2/cont.d/ configuration snippets under revision control -

Could this package please ignore subdirectories of conf.d/? Or at least ignore conf.d/RCS/?

This was changed to ignore everything that contains other special characters than .-_ . Since the RCS filenames contain commas, they are ignored and there is no need to handle the RCS dirs specially.
