Bug#434562: apache2.2-common: Segfaulting when using mod_authn_dbd with DBDriver pgsql

From: Anders Breindahl <skrewz(at)skrewz.dk>
Date: Tue Jul 24 2007 - 16:41:22 EDT

Package: apache2.2-common
Version: 2.2.3-5
Severity: normal

Seemingly, apache2.2-common does not bundle any file apr_dbd_pgsql.so (which I gather [0] is needed when specifying DBDriver pgsql).

The above is guesswork on my part why my apache2.2 server segfaults upon configuration file reading (and `strace apache2 -t` yields no useful information except that apache seemingly gets past loading my virtualhosts). It seems it cannot run something needed in that file.

As a consequence, I cannot proceed with upgrading the setup in [1] to a DBD-and-authn-using-setup. However, I gather [2] that the deprecated auth_pgsql module could still be used. I haven't tried that yet.

Also refer to [3], which seems to be a similar problem.

Regards, skrewz.
