Hi,

I think I have a fix for some of the memory leaks. You can find patched packages for etch at:

http://www.sfritsch.de/~stf/apache2/

It would be nice if someone could test these and tell me whether they give an improvement. However, they should be considered experimental. Test them before putting them on a production system.

I can provide packages for unstable if anyone prefers those.
