Attempts to convert French translation of the Installation Guide to PO

Hello,

During my holidays, I'm attempting to convert the French translation of the installation guide to French.

Of course, I won't do this without Philippe Batailler's consent, but at least I wanted to prepare it and use the opportunity of French being currently complete while we're far away from the release.

However, I'm having strange problems.

Apparently the scripts/create_po script does not work as expected but that's not really a big problem, I can work around this.

But, other problems I'm facing are more strange and I can't find any explanations for them.

For instance, if I attempt the following:

split2po en/boot-installer/alpha.xml fr/boot-installer/alpha.xml >~/tmp/foo.po

Do you need help?

...the foo.po file stops at "msgid "As on other architectures, you should install the newest available...". All further strings are just ignored.

Anyone knowing what could be going wrong ?
