Bug#435285: console-setup: ugly six dots in /etc/init.d/keyboard-setup

From: Michael Schutte <m.schutte.jr(at)gmail.com>
Date: Mon Jul 30 2007 - 15:03:04 EDT

Package: console-setup
Version: 1.18
Severity: minor

The initscript /etc/init.d/keyboard-setup uses log_action_begin_msg to print the text `Setting preliminary keymap...' Since the function adds an ellipsis itself, three dots are written to the terminal, which looks ugly.

It would be nice if you could remove the dots before your next release.
