Comments/Problems:

This is not a bug in the software, but a confusing behaviour.

In the main menu, detect disks leads to partitioning disks.

I don't want to change partitioning. I don't want to format anything. In fact, I am only installing the system to fix some errors in the C library locations. I just want to make /dev/hda1 to be the root file system.

If I select IDE1, I get

which I don't want. I have forgetten what happened when selecting "no", but it not lead to joy either. I am working on this sittnig in Australia and the machine is being handled by my friends in NYC.

If I proceed to "Finish partitioning", I am getting

It would be useful to have an item "mount already existing file system" as earlier versions of the installer had.

I think the current "help on partitioning" is rather vague. If you send me the text, I can try to improve.
