[CC me on replies, thanks]
I tried this again, using the netisnt daily image for amd64. (14.08.2007). Are the expected changes already in the daily images? The title of the question about the keyboard layout is, quoted "[!] Cyrillic on Console". Default is "Bulgarian BDS" (in Bulgarian). I select "Bulgarian phonetic". Next question os about the layout switch. I choose "Alt+Shift". The title of the question is the same. Last question (same title) is about temporary switching between layouts. I select "no temporary switch". Looking at the messages at VC4 afterwards, I see no console-setup there, only console-cyrillic. The install hanged at 50% of grub-install (last VC4 messages: grub-installer: Searching for GRUB installation directory ... grub-installer: found: /boot/grub I chroot-ed to /target and dpkg -l console-setup says "un". I guess I need to try again with the i386 image from bubulle :) >> Thank you for your comments so far. I'll get some more tests done and >> report back. It starts very well, but the emulator crashes very soon (amd64-on-amd64) :( > Maybe another option is VirtualBox. This is a proprietary emulator,
