During installation of Debian, once the local is selected the time zone choices are limited to the local previously selected.

A user/installer may be in a foreign country and are required or want to  set the local to her/his country while setting the time zone to the current country.

I think its best to remove this restriction and allow the user to chose whichever local and time zone combination they want.

This has been discussed several times in the past and we think we have good reasons for the current functionality and that it is correct for >99.9% of installations. We have no intention of changing this.

If you really need to select a different timezone than one for the country you selected during installation, just run 'tzselect' (as root) after rebooting into the installed system.

Cheers,
FJP
