Thanks for the quick response. From the documentation you mentioned, I assumed I could get it working by putting

d-i anna/choose_modules ppp-udeb

into my preseed file. At least, I expected that the pppoe username/password would be asked. But this did not happen. The install failed while apt-repositories are configured. Maybe I used the wrong preseed line?
