Comments/Problems:

  1. Although I selected the NTFS installer module, d-i partitioning tool did not want to hear I wanted to use my NTFS partitions and did not let me associate mountpoints to them. I had to do it all by myself (and boy, it was difficult, cause I never tried).
  2. Clock NTP synchronization did not work, no idea why. CTRL-ALT-F4 console read:

clock-setup: rdate: Too many bad or lost packets clock-setup: rdate: Not enough valid responses received in time
clock-setup: rdate: Unable to get a reasonable time estimate
clock-setup: rdate failed (0)

NTP servers I tried were 0.debian.pool.ntp.org and 0.pool.ntp.org.

Could the GUI give at least a warning? I had to refer to the console to see it failed (ok, the delay and the empty progress bar were hints).

3) Last but not least: packet download failed because of not enough space on /var... The progress bar froze, and I had to refer to the CTRL-ALT-F4 console again to guess the cause of the error:

in-target: Output file write error - write (28 no available space)

Of course I had forgotten apt stores the downloaded files in /var, and of course few people undersize their /var-space, but could d-i GUI at least issue a human-readable warning? Even if it comes when nearly all the files have been downloaded, a late warning is better than no warning at all.
