Bug#459838: installation-reports: Debian etch 4.0r1 net install: fails on Dell Latitude D630

Tried using Debian net installer 4.0r1, as well as Knoppix 5.1, installer fails mid-way, leaving system in unbootable state. Using Kubuntu 7.10, installer completes. Using Kenshi Muto's debian backport with linux 2.6.23 at http://kmuto.jp/debian/d-i/ I was also able to succeed.
