This patch should probably be delayed until after the Lenny Beta1 release and the first upload of new kernel udebs after that because you need the kernel module udebs available in the archive first to avoid failures in the daily builds.

You could commit the patch, but with "malta" commented out at the end of the line in build/config/{mips,mipsel}.cfg and an added comment that it's not yet enabled in the changelog. That would allow easier local testing until it can be enabled.

Otherwise the patch looks OK at first glance.
