DSL hangs/disconnects randomly

Hi everyone,

I have both SuSE and Debian stable (etch) installed on my hard drive. While in SuSE everything is normal with the DSL connection, it randomly hangs or disconnects (can't really put my finger on which one it is. I'll be glad to have your directions as to how to find out) and I have to use poff and pon to reconnect.

Your help will be greatly appreciated,
