Could you be more specific?

BTW bash called as "sh" behave differently as if it is called as "bash".

But I see in Austin group (POSIX standardization), that there are changes in both directions:
bash try to be more compatible to POSIX (when they found differences) and POSIX try to be more like bash when bash behavior is better.

Anyway, bash has extensions, but this doesn't mean that it is not compatible.
