Re: Kmail will not Send Mail - Debian Etch Stable - KDE 3.5.7

I thought I might send in some more about this just to finish it off before Christmas.

Since last week I've spent some hours installing and re-installing Debian Etch and Kubntu 7.10 AMD64. At all times the bug to do with Kmail and Kdepim and Kdecore has been faithfully reproduced. First time installation of Etch with KDE 3.5.5 produced the same problem every time. When I upgraded to KDE 3.5.7 with 'apt-get -t etch-backports upgrade" the bug still persisted. Same thing happened with Kubntu 7.10 AMD64 with KDE 3.5.8 and updates. Only freezes/takes place when I try to send mail. No problem when I download mail.

So, there's not a lot I can do about it but I thought that I should circulate some information about it so that others would know.
