"Flash" works most of the time for me on konq, except for the glitch over the last couple of weeks, but YouTube has never worked in konq, but embedded YouTube videos in other web pages does work.

I think it has to do with strict version checking.

.swf files I have locally I've always played through firefox(iceweasel) just to make sure that it works. Here, let me check...

Well, it's not cooperating. A new konq window opens, then it launches iceweasel anyway. Such is life.
