I have successfully installed Sid on a SR-Samsung last week.
But the Debian images did not want to boot, so I got grml-small,
booted and did the rest with debootstrap.
S-ATA and stuff is working fine, the new wifi does not (did not have
the time to build the iwl modules on my own).
