IBM 760XL x.org problems

I can't seem to get x.org running properly. With Debian 3.1, I had it running nice and smooth, but it seems like the driver has changed or something. What I see are remnants of the bios screen. Has anyone gotten this laptop working with 7.2 of x.org?
