Acer Aspire 1350 and switching of the LCD background light

Hello,

My Acer Aspire 1350 can be closed, WITHOUT going self into Standby or Suspend aot it switch entirely.

My problem is, that the background light of the LCD does not switch off automaticaly and that the Latop after 2-3 hours the heatdead get.

Can anyone tell me, how I can switch off the backlight?

Note: 'setterm -blank 1' switch of the screen, but not the backlight.
