I have killed again a 2"5 drive from a Raid-5 (3Ware) and want to ask you, WHICH 2"5 HDD's are made for 24/7 use. I know Hitachi manufactur drives, but how can I identify them and which are the otther manufacturers? I need thre 12-20 GByte drives for a Raid-1 plus hotfix and five 120-250 GByte drives for a Raid-5 plus hotfix. AND NO, 3"5 drives are NO SOLUTION, since they have no protection agains vibratins and shocks. I use an µITX as fileserver in my motorcaravan for my ThinkPad.
