Two versions of stunnel are available - stunnel3 and stunnel4. Normally
I would expect the higher numbered version to be the most recent and
better supported version.
=46orm some reason I don't know, I'm running stunnel3 and=20
# apt-cache show stunnel
reports
Version: 2:3.26-dfsg-2
Replaces: stunnel4
Why has stunnel3 replaced stunnel4 on Debian?
Which is really the preferred version of stunnel?

Also, changing your mouse protocol from ImPS/2 to PS/2 should stop the

Use something like aptitude, which will also remove dependencies which
were automatically pulled in. For example, apache2 depends on
apache2-common. If you remove only apache2, apache2-common's files will
remain, some of which may be in that directory.

I suspect that the package maintainers neglected the full purging script. T=

You should probably file a bug report against the package, and it should ge=

sometimes difficult and sometimes tedious process, so something like the=20
configuration removal/purging script could be easily overlooked.

All,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me if there's an easy way, when using
`apt-get upgrade`, to get around the pop-up configuration screens that occur
with some updates. One example of this is with a kernel update. It appears
that the kernel update wants to inform you that you should reboot soon, and
unfortunately the colorful blue and red screen cannot be circumvented with
the usual ways. I tried this:
> apt-get -y update
> apt-get -y upgrade -or- apt-get -y --force-yes upgrade
Neither of these work. It seems like I might be able to get around this
screen by manipulating either some apt-get configuration, or some dpkg
configurations, but I'm completely unaware of where this information may be
held.
Thanks for any help!

No. When I entered this from iceape the mplayer window comes up and
immediately says "Stopped". If I click play mplayer reports "Getting
playlist..." followed immediately by "Stopped".
I tried entering the command from a console with the following result:

I've already seen 'echo -ne "blah\n"' => -n to prevent sending new line and
-e + \n to send new line... ;)

I've tried unsuccessfully to monitor my dual Xeon box but lm-sensors
doesn't seem to detect anything. I've a Intel Server Board SE7320SO2
with two 3. GHz Xeon chips. Anybody know how to get mobo/chip/internal
temps (and pref fan speeds)... my box gets noisy and I'm trying to see
if it's temp related
Bestest,
Michael

http://packages.qa.debian.org/c/checkinstall/news/20060204T220817Z.html
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=281823
I can't say I really understand the process. Apparently the bug was
filed with 'severity: critical', but later downgraded to 'normal'. It
was nevertheless removed from testing in Feb. 2006. A fixed version
appeared in Dec., but for some reason didn't migrate to testing until
Mar. 2007, which I suppose was after the Etch freeze.

Slightly more information. From reading man dpkg, does anyone thing that
the following would be useful? I don't really know what it means by "shell
escape," but does that mean when it pops up the reboot screen for kernels?
ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES
DPKG_NO_TSTP
Define this to something if you prefer dpkg starting a new
shell rather than suspend$B!>(B
ing itself, while doing a shell escape.

there's an easy way, when using `apt-get upgrade`, to get around the pop-up configuration screens that
occur with some updates. One example of this is with a kernel
update. It appears that the kernel update wants to inform you that you
should reboot soon, and unfortunately the colorful blue and red screen
cannot be circumvented with the usual ways. I tried this:
