Maybe just invalid info in BIOS. I would trust linux here. Or maybe is that onboard L3 cache...

Different people prefer different presentations. I read EVERYTHING I could find on LaTeX (including the not-so-short-introduction), but I still could not put the pieces together. I even purchased and read a spiral-bound copy of Knuth's "The TeX Book". Ironically, I had run across a copy of Kopka & Daly a year or more previously, but I had passed it up. Not until I purchased and Kopka & Daly did I begin to understand LaTeX as a system and develop proficiency with it. Kopka & Daly did for me what all the other books and manuals failed to do. RLH

Other distributions store it here; notably Fedora.

Call it a bug in Debian's Mondo package. They should have patched it to work with the correct file. Doug.

>=20 But if you make it a link you get an infinite loop when using the mondo=20 restore CD: it has to be a regular file.

I used mkfontscale and also mkfontdir. fonts.dir and fonts.scale were created. "xset fp+ /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-barcod25" and "xset fp rehash" gave no error and it seems that they have worked (I can see the font with xlsfonts), but xpdf, for example, still doesn't display the barcode font correctly on the PDF. Do you know something else that I can try? Thank you very much! Best regards, Nelson
