Yes, the error message was from /var/log/mail.info.

The configuration is in postfix. The receive and send email to / from gmail server work fine before I change to current ISP, could that be my new ISP problem?

I could not make that work:

~$ telnet 64.233.183.27 25
Trying 64.233.183.27...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Network is unreachable

~$ telnet 64.233.183.27
Trying 64.233.183.27...

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out

Do you need more help?X

The port 25 return error immediately, is it port 25 problem?

Seems it is a network connection problem, isn't it?

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Jim

I've been using the HHKB Lite 2 keyboard (also known as the "Happy Hacker Lite") for a couple of years now. It has a firm touch but is fast and easy to type on. I switch keyboards frequently to try to avoid carpal tunnel but with this keyboard I haven't felt a twinge...

Can we help you?X

They have draw backs... It is a small keyboard, and the keys are all straight facing rather than angled like a "Natural" keyboard. I like the angled keyboards a lot, but the feel of the HHKB has keep me using it longer than any other keyboard I've had in years.

The differences between Elizabethan English and modern American makes Shakespeare is pretty difficult for me, constantly having to think about what the phrase means, or having to pause the flow and look down into the footnotes to determine the archaic meaning of a word or phrase.

Monty Python is almost as bad, with their non-RP accents and topics that were frequently specific to early-1970s Britain.

Hi,

I am running Debian on a Macbook. I used the Etch DVDs for install, and I followed the instructions on the wiki entry http://wiki.debian.org/MacBook

I think that made most things work for me, including wireless, touchpad and sound. Microphone worked after an alsa upgrade. Everything runs very smoothly(you can configure the keyboard setup in your xorg.conf to match your preferences), and I think the power settings can be set using ACPI as well (not too sure about battery performance enhancement etc.).

Confused? Frustrated?X

Yes, I've read it too, and I understand that it could be much less if it didn't include Python and other stuff that are already installed on my system. It's a blessing because having the mpeg encoding performed in hardware on the card takes the load off your cpu. You can process more streams with less cpu. It's a curse because the streams are compressed before you get access to them. Any additional processing you might do will be done on data that has already been compressed, leading to degraded quality. ymmv.

The hardware mpeg support is not in MythTV directly but is in the drivers for the particular cards. Many of the Hauppage PVR cards (I have two) have been supported by ivtv drivers for at least a couple of years. You should be looking for kernel support for the cards, not mythtv support. If there is kernel support, then there will be /dev/video* devices that mythtv can record from.=20 A --5lVNUoiW0yyvItcX Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHXeEOaIeIEqwil4YRAuphAJ9ZKqMW4KvVH1ebN2yssyYHrkz86QCgiB9D z0s2IT+hySvHsNjLxDPwxPY= =wyaw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --5lVNUoiW0yyvItcX--

Jim, from the looks of your logs (I'm assuming /var/log/mail.log--you didn't say in your message), you're not actually sending mail through gmail's server. Can you explain a bit more about your mail setup (Debian version, Postfix settings, etc.)? Something easy to try in the meantime: can you establish an SMTP connection via telnet/netcat to 64.233.183.27 and 209.85.147.27? username@debian:~$ telnet 64.233.183.27 25 FYI, I can establish SMTP connections on both of the IP addresses listed in your log messages, so the servers are listening for connections. --John

Were you by chance using flashplayer? When I used to use the flash package I got random crashes and lock ups...When I realized that flash was the cause of these lockups I stopped using it and haven't touched it since. --=20 If programmers deserve to be rewarded for creating innovative programs, by the same token they deserve to be punished if they restrict the use of these programs.=20 - Richard Stallman --azLHFNyN32YCQGCU Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHXtECg6qL2BGnx4QRAm09AJ9CWf7ePnI2yLknwramN/cluZACSwCghbTY rcen2+MyhPwZgIepxZ+fNvU= =O9nR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --azLHFNyN32YCQGCU--

Well, you probably let it see you coming.

Showoff ;-) Seriously though, I must admit it appears like it could be useful, though on my little standalone box it probably wouldn't do much for me. Patrick

I keep getting this error: drivers/net/usb/cdc_subset.c:222:2: error: You need to configure some hardware for this driver I decided to use the existing configuration file on my system and I still get this error.
