I've never tried. but just a guess.

in IceWeasel address-bar, type "about:config" and press ENTER. now in search box type "general.useragent.extra.iceweasel"... change the value of this key to "Firefox/2.0.0.x" (x= your iceweasel version) now try to re-install the extension again.
