I am using 2.6.21 Debian kernel and
ii nvidia-glx 1.0.8776-4 ii nvidia-kernel-2.6.17-2-486 1.0.8776-4+2.6.17-9 ii nvidia-kernel-2.6.18-3-486 1.0.8776-4+2.6.18-7 ii nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1 ii nvidia-kernel-source 1.0.8776-4 What do I try next?
