With neither Debian nor Mozilla changing their stance Iceweasel's UA will just have to make do without the Firefox string. And the explanation is already there as the first FAQ item in README.Debian.

The disadvantage of manually changing the UA is that things depending upon the version number e.g. extensions, themes, etc. might not work as the user set property does not automatically update with upgrades.
