I don't think it is related (it's a different error code).

I addressed this in

Patch #201 - 2005/4/21 - XFree86 4.5.99.2

  • ignore error in the I/O initialization that tries to set the tty to 7-bit input for the case where eightBitInput resource is false (Debian #298551).
