Thanks for the link, I will try to see what I can grab from there. The restriction as I mentioned is that I do not have administrative access, only a normal user, so whatever I do, will be under $HOME/

Ah, I think it is both the profiles. I have defined LD_LIBRARY_PATH only is .bash_profile so it cannot be from .bashrc, but then I am sourcing .bashrc within .bash_profile and "set -x" is in .bashrc, so...
