#437650 bug listed aginst libdb4.6.19-2

I have searched google but I am finding very little info about this bug that is reported by apt-get when I try to install this package. I have several packages behind libdb4.6.19-2 that I hesitate to upgrade because of this bug. I am running Debian Lenny on amd64x2 and I am up-to-date except for those packages behind libdb4.6. For example there are several kde apps like kmail. I am wondering how safe it is to install it? What side effects will it have on my system? Is it likely to crash my system? This is a production system and I have to much time invested to do a reinstall. I would like to install the updated version of kmail because I am unable to add or edit any identities for a new email account. I am hoping that updating kmail will correct that. I have learned that this only affects some architectures from Don Armstrong. But he instructed me that I could get more and better information from you. Any insight you could give me would be much appreciated. Many thanks
Randy
