Okay, I finally got the answer -- on a Mepis forum (respect to Warren and all of his users). Debian should really update the man page for debmirror.

Anyway, this worked:

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys ADB11277 ; gpg --export ADB11277 | apt-key add -

The man page suggested:

gpg --keyserver keyring.debian.org --recv-keys <key ID>

which, with inserting ADB11277 in the <key ID> space, did not work.
