I would say that it's at the "early adopters" stage: given a bit of skill and background knowledge (the docs are still primitive), most folks trying to use it in simple situations will succeed without much difficulty, but there are still some problems, and a few people may have real trouble.

Incidentally, it's improving by the day, and you are probably better off using the current snapshot (at the risk of running into temporary problems due to ongoing development), rather than release 0.90, which is starting to look old.
