No, snapshot.tar.gz is the current snapshot. snapbing.tar.gz was an artifact of internal development, now removed.

This may have turned off the messages, but it probably hasn't turned off whatever oddity was causing them... It's treating the symptom, not the disease. Things are still going wrong; you're just not hearing about them.

Yeah, we don't test without debugging very often, so such things do creep in. At the moment, we simply don't recommend running the code without the debugging facilities, so it's not a high priority. Thanks for spotting those, though.

Uh, no, it *appears* to work correctly. That can happen even if it is not in fact working right. Have you done tcpdump monitoring from a third machine to confirm that the packets on the wire are encrypted properly?
