Ah, snapshot.tar.gz's size was only 19 Bytes at the moment I wanted to download it.

Of course, I know that the reason is still there, when I disabling debugging. I just wanted to save my diskspace and improve the performance while I'm going to investigate the packets, if they are really encrypted and authenticated...

If tcpdump doesn't lie, it does work, in fact. I moved tcpdump to a separate machine, where it dumps the following on a ping:

10.1.1.1 > 10.1.1.2: ip-proto-51 112 (ttl 64, id 18716)
10.1.1.2 > 10.1.1.1: ip-proto-51 112 (ttl 64, id 3299)
10.1.1.1 > 10.1.1.2: ip-proto-51 112 (ttl 64, id 18717)
10.1.1.2 > 10.1.1.1: ip-proto-51 112 (ttl 64, id 3300)
...

Today's (Dec 2) snapshot is fixed according to the ah_rcv kernel messages AND debug compilation error... great work! Thanks. I'll going to test the other modes now.
