When I (Mentat) interoperated with Angelos last September, shortly after the ANX workshop, we used the ANX-standard 0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b key for the HMAC, and 0b0b0b0b0b0b0b0b 0d0d0d0d0d0d0d0d 0b0b0b0b0b0b0b for 3DES; that is, the 2nd key is different. He reported finding an unspecified keying problem with 3DES after we successfully interoperated with DES; he found it, fixed a stuck fan, and then we interoperated just fine with 3DES/SHA1.
