Well, well - then he would get the same code I have up and running - so what would be the point of doing it twice? I do not understand the reason why this is being done, unless they plan to reach some completely different destination. On the other hand, I have tracked a few minor bugs in the OpenBSD just while merging that code with the old Linux IPSec code (now being called KLIPS) and another one was spotted by RGB - so doing things several times may help the quality.

I was considering the feasibility of making a joined source of at least some parts of the OpenBSD and Linux code, so that there is less effort while fixing bugs and better stability in terms of interoperability with other systems. I first need to fix the interface to the rest of the IP stack in Linux (which I have planned to do several weeks ago, but I have not even started due to lack of time) and then I can try to investigate something like this.

I wonder wheather the OpenBSD team would encourage something like this, or wheather the Linux crowd would have to be on its own.
