It should be set when tncfg and ifconfig are called to set up the ipsec0 I/F with a physical I/F. This may be something that should be set up by tncfg...hmmm, I have an ifconfig after tncfg which sets up the virtual I/F with the same address as the physical I/F, but no other parameters, since the defaults for a class C are correct. This command maybe should be changed from:

        ifconfig ipsec0 $gw1

to:

        ifconfig ipsec0 $gw1 broadcast $gw1bcast netmask $gw1nmask

but this will require a value set...hmmm maybe we can test for these:

	ifconfig $if $gw1
	[ $gw1bcast -eq "" ] || ifconfig $if broadcast $gw1bcast
	[ $gw1nmask -eq "" ] || ifconfig $if netmask $gw1nmask
