I would recommend getting the latest version: freeswan-0.8.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. I have compiled the netlink code into the kernel statically, not as a module ('y' instead of 'm'). I don't know if this addresses your problem. If it would help, dis le probleme en francais si ca t'aide a le decrire mieux...c'etait ma langue maternelle. :-) Je le traduirai si necessaire.
