As indicated in previous mail, I discovered the strcpy part of this before I saw this mail. Hadn't gotten as far as investigating htonl/ntohl, though; thanks for running that down.

That's good news. I think I'm going to revise the library's compilation setup so that the "standard" includes get done in only one place -- probably the library's existing internal.h header file -- so that they exist in only one place and any subsequent fixes can be done in one place. Duplicated source is bad.
