  Curious: What do the lawyers say about information that passes 'through' the U.S. on the Internet. As an example, if I were to download the software from www.xs4all.nl then it is passing through New York state on the way to me.

  Much of this export law is total silliness, but would anyone try to argue that in order to subvert this public service?
