I really don't understand what you are asking. A Road Warrior conn (alsways on the responder side) cares about the initiator's ID payload (and not the initiator's source address). The conn on the initiator side should specify the ID payload. Otherwise the responder will infer a useless ID for it -- the initiator's IP address. The initiator's conn can specify the ID as either FQDN or an IP address. Only in rather tricky cases is the IP address form useful. Perhaps that answers your question.
