[Users] FreeSwan 2.02 and x509

Greetings:

I have just installed FreeSwan-2.02 from source onto a Linux kernel 2.4.22 using GCC-3.2.2 (for program not kernel builds).

I am having a number of problems but the most perplexing seems to be when I run "ipsec verify" where it looks for the ipsec.secrets file in the root (/) directory rather than the /etc directory.

Has anyone seen this behavior or have a suggestion how to correct it?
